A full inspection of the ignition, burner, pilot, valve, fan and controls, a clear explanation of the problem, and your repair options with pricing.
Additional diagnostic time
$50 per 30 minutes

Some problems take longer to track down, like intermittent faults, electrical issues or older units. We'll always ask before going past the first hour.
Good to know: if you go ahead with the repair, the diagnostic fee is applied to it.

Most fireplace problems come down to a part that can be cleaned, adjusted or replaced.
Pilot light won't light or stay lit
Usually a dirty pilot assembly, a weak thermocouple or thermopile, or a gas supply issue. Read the guide
Ignition problems
No spark, clicking without lighting, or a delayed start. We test the igniter, wiring and module.
Thermocouple and thermopile
These safety parts shut off the gas when the pilot goes out. A weak one can stop the fireplace from staying on. Read the guide
Faulty gas valve
A valve that won't open, won't hold, or doesn't respond to the controls. We test it and replace it if needed.
Uneven flames or poor heat
Often a dirty or misaligned burner, blocked ports or logs out of position.
Odours or unusual noises

How much does a gas fireplace repair visit cost?
The service call and diagnostic is $149.99 plus HST and covers the first hour onsite. If a problem needs more diagnostic time, it's $50 per 30 minutes, and only with your approval.
Does the diagnostic fee go toward the repair?
Yes. If you go ahead with the repair, the diagnostic fee is applied to it.
Will you start a repair without asking me?
No. Your technician explains the problem, gives you repair options and pricing, and no work begins until you approve it.
What do you need from me to book?
Your fireplace's model number, serial number and a short description of the problem. That helps us arrive prepared.
